Developing a Collaborative Planning Team

August 28, 2020

An Urban Institute resource on managing data-related planning teams.

A Collaborative Planning Team is composed of stakeholders with access to administrative data from multiple service systems and could be tasked with gathering and analyzing linked data, understanding the population needs across systems or how services are used, or designing an intervention to address a social problem.

Although the guide suggests that the team can be disassembled and reassembled as needed for specific projects, it is perfectly acceptable to continue convening the group over time to improve on data sharing practices.
